Alternative Physio is owned and operated by Anita Allen, a registered physiotherapist, accomplished business woman, published author, certified coach and educator.  

Anita earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Physiotherapy at the University of Toronto.  In 1997 she opened physiotherapy clinics in Bolton and Kleinberg. In 2006, despite the steady growth and prosperity of her clinics, she sold her interests to move to Aurora, Ontario.

Over the years Anita has trained intensively, specializing in several alternative modalities including myofacial release, acupuncture and Reiki. Her certification as a CODE Model Coach and its accompanying training in neurolinguistic programming and chakra energy gives Anita a unique grounding as a health care provider and wellness consultant. 

Anita blogs regularly and is co-creator and contributor to Guardians of the Vision: Parenting for the Birthright of Potential published in 2009 and was a contributing author to Sekhmet Rising: The Restlessness of Women's Genius published in 2006.
